Film star Chiranjeevi unveiled his political party named ‘Prajarajyam’ here today.

While addressing the mammoth crowd of supporters Chiranjeevi said, “The new party will have social justice as its main agenda.”

Chiranjeevi said he was overwhelmed by the response of the people towards his decision of joining politics.

“I firmly believe in youth power and I am hungry to serve the people of my state,” he said.

He also thanked his supporters for gathering in large numbers at the party launch and said that he knows the pulse of the public.

Lakhs of Chiranjeevi fans poured in from all over Andhra Pradesh to listen to their star revealing the name and agenda of his party.

The crowd went berserk during the event and police had to resort to baton charge to control the crowd.

An eight-feet high huge dais had been constructed for the occasion, which comprised of big pictures of Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, B. R. Ambedkar, Jyotirao Phule and a digital screen at the centre.

Unlike many political meetings digital screens at strategic places, first aid clinics, fire engines, water packets and other amenities were arranged for the public.

Ramayana is India’s favorite mythological classic and now Hollywood seems interested in making their version of the epic.Famous Indian contemporary writer Ashok Banker is the brain behind ‘Ramayana’ the novelist has written a series of seven books on the epic and now wants to translate it to cinema.

Ashok is currently working on the project with a Hollywood Production and according to him ‘AbhiAsh’ are the first on the list to enact the characters of Ram and Sita. Ashok also confessed that he has been approached by Hollywood stars Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig who have expressed their interest in being a part of the project. All roads in East and West Godavari and north coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh led to Tirupati as lakhs of Chiranjeevi’s fans climbed four-wheelers, buses, trucks and special trains to attend the meeting to launch the actor’s political party on Tuesday.
It was a spectacle at railway stations and bus stations as the fans decorated trains and buses with their matinee idol’s posters.
Fans from both the Godavari districts - where Chiranjeevi’s support is the highest — were in delirious mood beating drums and applying ’tilak’ on co-travellers. Two special trains each from Kakinada and Vishakapatanam, one each from Rajahmundry, Samarlakota, Narsapur, Eluru and Anakapalle left for Tirupati. Each train has 15-18 bogies. It is learnt that Waltair railway division is charging Rs 80,000 per compartment, while the state road transport corporation is levying Rs 28 per km for special buses. While over a lakh people have left their homes from both Godavari districts, nearly 50,000 people from Vishakapatanam and nearby districts left for Tirupati.
